  • March 2009 - Dr. Ann Peiffer won the National Postdoctoral Association Travel Award and presented a talk titled "Incorporating Professional Development Opportunities into RCR Education."  Dr. Peiffer also won the Nation Postdoctoral Association Most Innovative Postdoctoral Program Award in 2008.
  • February 2009 - Huan Tan's paper titled "A Fast, Effective Filtering Method for Improving Clinical Pulsed Arterial Spin Labeling MRI" has been accepted in Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
  • January 2009 - The ANSIR Lab's fully automated processing pipeline, WFU_Pipeline, is now publicly available.  Details are described in a recent paper in Neuroinformatics titled "Fully automated processing of fMRI data in SPM: from MRI scanner to PACS" by Dr. Joseph Maldjian

  • March, 2008 - NIH training fellowships have been awarded to Jennifer Mozolic (from the National Institute on Aging to study cognitive training in older adults) and Merideth Addicott (from the National Institute on Drug Abuse to study the cognitive effects of caffeine withdrawal).

  • In late 2003, the Discovery Channel videotaped memory expert  Scott Hagwood undergoing a neuroimaging scan  while performing some of the memory recall feats for which he is known.*
    * Unfortunately, the Discovery Channel has informed us that "Since this clip was recorded off-air, it cannot be used in any public forum or airing." Perhaps you can catch it on rerun someday...
