     AMP looks at the impact of unisensory acuity on how older and younger adults integrate multisensory information from the environment.

  • An investigation on the behavioral and neural changes that accompany participation in an 8-week attention training program of older adults (age 65-75).

  • Promise
    PROMISE studies how aging affecrts the way the brain combines information from and pays attention to different senses.

  • VRAGE
    The VRAGE study measures blood flow and brain activity in response to a mental task in healthy adults of various ages. With this information, we will have a better understanding of normal aging, which may some day lead to the prevention of common age related disorders such as dulling of the senses, memory loss, and learning disabilities

  • Dyslexia
    Altered cross-modal auditory-visual interactions are present in left Brodmann Area 37 in dyslexic readers.
  • VBM
    Transcontinental study of dyslexic and control readers utilizing the technique of voxel-based morphometry (VBM) to correlate brain gray matter anatomy with certain gene markers (genotype) and behavioral findings (phenotype) in a well-studied group of South African Afrikaners.
